I Can't Hear Speaker Rear In 5.1

Its worked fine after a long time.... I used their solution and it works now.

Supposedly its only a 5.1 card. I got these from a family member. Hmm i have to see about the setup on none. And even there I didnt get the full sounds only background echoes and such.

You have to go step by step thru the process. When you went thru speaker "Setup", did you choose "None" for the 2 rear surrounds? You will be amazed to see the audio device and sound device in your audio device manager. Do I have a bad channel on my brand new computer sound card?
Second, surround effects are not supposed to be "loud", they're supposed to be more like background music. If not, that's the first thing to do. fix that ...
You installed the latest Vinyl drivers ( which are for VIA chipsets) and got everything to work properly with your realtek audio?
Everything seems to be ok now. When I play a movie and lets says it's raindrops suppose to be in the rear speakers I can't hear a thing unless I'm 1 inch away from it. but still ... With a 5.1 system, the surrounds go on the sides of your listening area, not in the back.
When I got really close like an inch away then I could hear the sound of the marble breaking off the walls and falling. maybe it works better with some other system or card or speakers... :) Report Hershed- Jun 6, 2010 at 01:40 PM Superbb... can I install an audio card I have an open slot. but the rear speakers dont have the full sound quality and there is an extra distortion or something like that in those speakers when u only hear them ..
I can not get the front 2 speakers to work as the front L/R speakers. I just fixed my audio after having the same problem. Now if I set the receiver to 7.1 the the rear speakers are nice and loud but i hear everything coming from it. While doing the test.
