HP Pavilion H9-110ex USB 3.0 Ports Not Functioning

It seems as though any USB device I install comes up as 'Unknown device'. Or is this a scanner driver problem? I just lost the fourth port. I have an annoying problem! (omg a problem thats annoying) I was installing new vid card (nvidia fx5200), unable to install drivers, so for some reason I disabled the VGASAVE driver!. have a peek here

MS Office functionality has returned with the flash reinstall and with the XP reinstall. When i got to the droms, i tried connecting with POL but it won't connect giving me a "check your network cables" error. Please help, I don't know what else to do. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

View Solution. First I replaced the batteries in the mouse, although the receiver was not powered. If I plug a mouse into the USB 3.0 port it works correctly but flash drive/external HDD don't (but, as above, they work if I plug them into the 2.0 port)If While the USB 3.0 card was working, I got full-speed transfers to the limit of the hard drive's ability, about 90-100 MB/s.

My computer hang at the Windows XP loading page and I need to reset it to make it succesfully go to Windows. Windows seems to be able to detect the device plugged in however it is unable to install the device, be it a mouse, an external hard disk or a mobile internet The audio, however, does work, although it is right next to the USB 3.0 ports.

I even tried to press Fn + F7 and other F buttons but nothing changed. So, what should I do?... I looked at the back and sure enough there they were. So i tried plugging the mouse and keyboard into another set of usb ports on my computer.

I realize upgrading this is a possible solution, but I am trying to avoid touching these low level parts for as long as possible. But, his computer has a password on the BIOS (which he does not know) and the computer is set to boot from hard drive and then CD if nothing is found
