If you getting same beep error message with both modules installed separately, most likely it's related to the motherboard.

It appears to me not to be a software problem but most likely some failure on the audio sound card that controls the switching of sound between the internal and external Still need some ideas as to whether or not I should take it apart to check the connections or if I should just replace it.
