I might have more eye strain which could possibly be due to a low-frequency PWM backlight, but I don't think that is the case. The 32 inch 1440P option falls somewhere in the middle because the 32 option is still way more real estate than a 250 dollar LG 29 inch ultrawide 3. Part of what contributes to the Omen's lower weight is its all-plastic body—probably the biggest caveat I have, but not too much of a downside unless you really like aluminum bodies. The blacks are really dark.
I even called my 16 yo son in and he saw it right away as well. A 32-inch panel at 2560x1440 has a pixel density of 91.8 PPI. I cannot get the color anywhere near as nice as the LG. Everything looks sharp to me anyway. It has a matte finish, which always makes the screen a little less eye-catching than glass, but the high resolution is still a draw and the picture quality is very good. this contact form High storage capacity.

I switched back to 16.9.2 and it works. This Pavillion appears to use the same panel as my Envy, just without the added expense of built in speakers. BLB is awful it completely destroys the black scenes and some how people are content with exchanging monitors which to be honest is a nightmare. They're about half as thick as were the bezels on my first generation IPS Korean specials.

I would call them equivalent in different ways and it boils down to this. Will it be too close to me?- I measured.

Conclusion For a very reasonable price given the 4K display and the GTX 1070, the HP Omen 17 is an attractive proposition.
