the CPU fans spins onces then silence then "restarts" itself. Once started the slightest shake and the laptop freezes, and the whole process starts again. Power light comes up and fan starts spinning, however no further actions - no screen, no boot etc. I installed new inverter and it fixed the problem. any suggestions? One issue that use to come up on some older systems I have worked on was a bad stick of RAM.

I still can see the image but it's very dark. Apparently, the white button is not seated correctly and when you install the keyboard bezel on the laptop it's pressing on the lid close switch all the time. Test your laptop with each memory module in each slot. I guess it's either bad AC adapter or bad motherboard.
My problem arose when i tried to start the laptop, the power comes on, the fan starts up, the hard drive seem to start up and the normal messages comes on You've already done a good job ruling out some of the more peripheral components to the problem.
